Telehealth for Family Planning

Telehealth Doctor

Telehealth has become more popular since COVID 19. For birth control, telehealth can be an excellent option. Clinics often offer in-person or telehealth appointments—just ask when you call.

You can also sign up with national telehealth companies to get a new prescription of birth control delivered straight to your door at a reduced rate, even without health insurance. You can also transfer your existing birth control prescription to one of these national telehealth companies and they will mail your medicine directly to you.

Mississippi law requires a face to face (virtual is fine) visit between a doctor and patient for prescriptions. Some telehealth companies offer this, but many don’t. One that does is lemonaid health.
